Texas A&M Student BUILD Committee Dedicating Medical Clinics Made Out Of Shipping Containers

Three months ago, we reported about a student organization at Texas A&M that’s been converting shipping containers into medical clinics and sending them to countries in need of medical care.

Each of the clinics transformed by the group BUILD is dedicated in honor of a fallen Aggie at Bonfire.

The last of the 12 clinics will be dedicated Saturday morning.

The program, outside Kyle Field at Rudder Plaza, starts at 9:30 a.m. A reception preceding the program begins at 8:30 a.m.

All four clinics that were built this semester will be on display.

Each portable clinic contains a waiting area, exam room and operating room and is outfitted with cabinetry, light fixtures and electricity, sinks and plumbing, and air conditioning.
