Texas A&M Softball Undefeated at Aggie Classic

News release from Texas A&M Athletics:

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – All-American Emiley Kennedy recorded her second career no-hitter in an 11-0 run-rule victory against Purdue on Sunday at Davis Diamond.

The left-handed ace retired the first eight batters she faced before yielding a walk in the third inning with two outs. After keeping Purdue (2-4) hitless through 4.2 innings, the Boilermakers connected on a routine hopper that was headed to second baseman KK Dement as the ball ricocheted off the first base runner for a runner interreference call ending the game on an out and a fielder’s choice for the final at-bat.

After Texas A&M (6-0) left the bases juiced in the first inning, Mac Barbara put the Aggies on the board with a grand slam to right field in the second inning. The Maroon & White added a run in the third and exploded for six runs on two hits, while capitalizing on three errors by Purdue.
