Texas A&M Soccer’s Pante Signs with AS Roma

ROME – Texas A&M soccer star Mia Pante signed a professional contract with Italian club AS Roma, joining a squad playing for its third straight league title.

“It’s an amazing opportunity,” Pante said. “I’m excited to join a team where there’s so much experience. There are so many players who have played at different clubs and played internationally. I’m eager to learn from them all. I hope to make an impact immediately. Whatever my role is, I will give it my all.”

Roma is the top squad in Italy and emerging as one of Europe’s elite sides. The Yellow & Reds are two-time defending champions of Serie A and have won two of the last four Copa Italia. In 2022, Roma earned the trophy at Supercoppa Italia. La Lupa are played in the UEFA Champions League for the third consecutive season and advanced to the quarterfinal round in 2022-23.

An Aggie for life, Pante completed four seasons of stellar play in the Maroon & White. She earned SEC postseason awards all four seasons, including All-SEC Second Team her last three years and SEC All-Freshman in 2021.

Pante registered 76 Aggie caps, including 73 starts, logging 5,046 minutes on the pitch. She tallied 41 career points with 10 goals and 21 assists.

She logged a wealth of international experience while in Aggieland. Playing for the Canadian national team, she earned a bronze medal at the CONCACAF Women’s U20 Championships and played in the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2022.
