Texas A&M senior diver Joslyn Oakley placed sixth in the women’s 1-meter springboard to highlight the Aggies’ second day at the 2026 SEC Swimming & Diving Championships on Tuesday at the Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center on the University of Tennessee campus.
Oakley, from Mooresville, North Carolina, compiled a 289.60 point total on her six-dive list. Oakley’s strong effort paced a 55-point output from the Aggies’ dive crew, which also received a 12th place finish from sophomore Bridget Foster (272.05), 15th from sophomore Gabby Filzen (244.10) and 21st from sophomore Julie Moons (256.25).
Texas A&M opened the evening finals with a pair of season-best efforts in the 200 medley relay. The women’s team of senior Kaitlyn Owens, sophomore Ella McQuinn, junior Ava Whitaker and freshman Eloise Williamson took nearly a half-second off its previous best to place sixth in 1:35.78. The men’s foursome of freshman John Simmons, senior Lane White, junior Ben Scholl and sophomore Ben Sytsma turned in a time of 1:24.36 to place 10th.
The Aggies tallied valuable points in both 1,650 freestyle events in the morning session with freshman Bucky Gettys finishing 22nd in 15:16.10 on the men’s side and senior Rachel Love placing 21st in 16:36.87.
The Maroon & White closed out the second day of action with the foursome of junior Hannah O’Leary, junior Katie Walker, senior Giulia Goerigk and Love placing 11th in the women’s 800 free relay in 7:16.77 and men’s group of Brown, junior Daniil Pancerevas, Simmons and freshman Alejandro Michelena turning in a 10th-place finish with a season-best 6:22.68 clocking.
After two days of action, the Aggie women are in seventh place with 139 points while the men’s squad ranks 11th with 91 points.
