Twelve Aggies will be chosen as a permanent part of A&M traditions by serving as models for a new statue, but noon Tuesday is the deadline to apply.

Associate Vice President for Student Affairs Tom Reber says they’re selecting twelve students from the 2013 class to represent the student body sawing off varsity’s horns, and the resulting statue will be placed at the renovated Kyle Field.

He says a committee of students, faculty and staff will go through the applications and make a recommendation to President Bowin Loftin on Tuesday.
