Another round of violence in the Middle East is affecting the soon to close Texas A&M campus in Qatar.

The campus website says remote operations and classes are taking place through the end of this week.

The campus website also has emergency information from the U.S. embassy in Qatar that calls on students and employees residents to keep a low profile, avoid demonstrations, stay aware of their surroundings, find a secure location, and have a supply of food, water, medications, and other essential items.

Enrollment at Qatar, which Texas A&M previously reported will be closing by 2028, dropped from 626 last spring to 386 this spring.
