Texas A&M Men’s Golf’s Long in Eighth at All American Individual

HUMBLE, Texas – Texas A&M men’s golf freshman Alex Long wrapped up Monday’s action at the All American Individual in a tie for eighth place with a two-round tally of 3-over 147.

Long opened with a 4-over 76 in a morning round which featured an eagle at the par-5, 562-yard 10th hole. In his afternoon loop around the par-72, 7,508-yard Golf Club of Houston Members Course, he fired three birdies in a 1-under 71 round.

Two other Aggies traveled to the nearby tournament. Jack Usner is tied for 11th place at 5-over 149 with rounds of 73 and 76. Jake Maggert is tied for 18th place at 8-over 152.

The tournament is paced by UNLV’s Ben Sawaia and Lamar’s Filip Widepalm at 4-under 140.

Golfers wrap up action Tuesday with the third round starting 8 a.m.
