TEXAS A&M QUOTES

Head Coach Brian Kortan

On the bright moments of the round…

“We made a couple eagles and birdied on No. 16 that really boosted our score late. We could’ve been a little cleaner on the finish. But all the guys were on it all day, which is important in a regional. We got one round under our belt at a golf course none of our guys have played it. So I look for the guys to be a little more confident and comfortable out there tomorrow and to fight for what we came here for.”

On the conditions…
“It was just wet out there. The conditions were fine. They’ve had a bunch of rain, so we knew it was going to be wet. It makes a few shots a little more tedious than they would regularly be, but I don’t know that the golf course played any more difficult or even easier. It was just a matter of us being us. The next two rounds, if we’re the team we’ve grown into the last we months and playing to our level we’ll be right where we want to be.”
