News release from Texas A&M Athletics:

CHICAGO – Texas A&M standout Phichaksn Maichon earned a spot on the Golfweek All-America First Team, the publication announced Wednesday.

Maichon capped off a successful 2024-25 campaign by finishing runner-up at the NCAA Championship, the best performance ever for an Aggie. He registered victories at the SeaBest Invitational and the Aggie Invitational and placed in the top 10 in eight of his last nine events, including a third-place effort at the SEC Championship.

Finishing No. 9 in the Scoreboard National Player Rankings powered by Clippd, Maichon was named All-SEC First Team in April and PING All-Central Region in May. He landed No. 6 on the final PGA Tour University ranking.

Maichon earned PING All-America Third Team status last season and ended his collegiate career with four tournament victories.

The Bangkok, Thailand, native is slated to make his professional debut Thursday. Maichon is in the field for the Korn Ferry Tour’s BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by TD Synnex contested at Carolina Country Club and Thornblade Club in Greer, South Carolina.
