TEXAS A&M QUOTES

Head Coach Brian Kortan

On Phichaksn Maichon’s effort…

“He had a good round ono a really good golf course. His tee to green was very solid. He three-putted a couple par-5s, if you want to nitpick. But when you shoot 4-under playing our sport on a championship golf course you can hold your head high – that’s a good day.”

On Aaron Pounds bouncing back for a great round…

“Resilience is such a big thing in this sport. He was dejected last night, so I’m really proud of him for believing in the work he puts in and sticking to it today. He came out and really helped his team.”

On the team’s effort…

“Mike was big again. He didn’t quite finish it off like he wanted to, but you know he keeps shooting really good scores. It was a really good solid effort. Everybody contributed this week and I’m happy with our progress. We’re going in the right direction.”
