AUBURN – The No. 12 Texas A&M Aggies battle for a spot in the NCAA Division I Men’s Golf Championship as they head to the Auburn Regional contested Monday to Wednesday.
The field will navigate around the par-72, 7,607-yard Auburn University Club. The top five teams at each of the NCAA’s six regionals advance to the championships slated for May 23-28 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California.
The Aggies are making their 50th NCAA postseason appearance, including the 21st time in the last 22 seasons. The NCAA has hosted regionals since 1989 and the Maroon & White have earned 32 trips in that span.
Texas A&M fields a formidable lineup including All-SEC First Team selection Phichaksn Maichon and SEC All-Freshman Wheaton Ennis. Michael Heidelbaugh, Jaime Montojo and Aaron Pounds round out the Aggie fivesome. Vishnu Sadagopan travels to Stanford as A&M’s alternate.
The 13-team field is the only regional to boast five teams slotted in the top 25 of the Scoreboard Rankings powered by Clippd, including No. 1 Auburn, No. 12 Texas A&M, No. 13 UCLA, No. 24 SMU and No. 25 Georgia Tech. The Maroon & White are competing to claim their fourth regional crown, winning in 1996, 2018 and 2019.
Monday’s action starts at 7:30 a.m. with the Aggies teeing off from hole No. 1 paired with Auburn and UCLA.

COURSE
The Auburn University Club takes golfers on a frolicking adventure through 225 acres of undulating hills and scenic woodlands. Former Auburn golfer Bill Bergin designed the course in 1999 and oversaw a renovation in 2022. The makeover included new Tift Eagle greens, 12 new tee boxes and 12 new bunkers. The course boasts of being challenging, yet playable and welcoming for all levels of golfers.
