Texas A&M Men’s Basketball Incoming Freshman Josh Irving Invited to USA Basketball U18 Training Camp

News release from Texas A&M Athletics: 

Texas A&M incoming freshman Josh Irving was invited to participate in the 2026 USA Basketball Men’s U18 National Team training camp at the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Training Center.

Training camp begins May 21 as 35 athletes will be competing for 12 spots on the team that will compete at the 2026 FIBA U18 Men’s AmeriCup June 1-7 in Leon, Mexico. Training camp participants will represent the graduating classes of 2026, 2027 and 2028. Athletes attending camp were selected by the USA Basketball Men’s Junior National Team Committee.

Irving signed with the Aggies in the fall as a consensus 4-star recruit of out of Pasadena, California, ranking among the top-40 players in the nation. He averaged 8.3 points, 7.9 rebounds and 2.4 blocks per game last season in AAU play. Extending his game outside the paint, Irving also shot 5-of-13 from beyond the arc over the summer. The 6-11, 200-pound forward boasts great athleticism while showing consistent improvement on both ends of the floor.
