Texas A&M Men’s Basketball Adds Two Transfers

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – Texas A&M men’s basketball coach Bucky McMillan announced another key piece to the Aggies’ 2025-26 roster with the addition of Texas transfer Jamie Vinson on Tuesday.

The 6-11, 225-pound Vinson played sparingly in his lone season with the Longhorns but was effective when he was on the court posting 2.2 points and 1.1 rebounds while averaging less five minutes of action in nine games.

An Austin native, Vinson played high school basketball at Virginia’s Oak Hill Academy. He was ranked as the No. 217 overall prospect, the No. 47 power forward, and the No. 8 player in Virginia in the 2024 On3 Industry Ranking. On3 ranked Vinson as the No. 52 power forward and the No. 10 player in Virginia.

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – Texas A&M men’s basketball coach Bucky McMillan announced another key piece to the Aggies’ 2025-26 roster with the addition of NC State’s leading scorer Marcus Hill on Tuesday.

Hill, from Richmond, Virginia, played in 34 games for the Wolfpack in 2024-25, making 25 starts. He paced the team with 357 points while connecting on 45.3% of his field goal attempts and shooting 75.3% from the line. The 6-foot-4 guard averaged 11.5 points and posted 19 double-digit scoring games, including a season-high 23 in the Wolfpack’s win over Florida State. He ranked third on the team in assists with 49 and fourth with 120 rebounds.

Prior to NC State, Hill played the 2023-24 season at Bowling Green, where he earned All-MAC honors after leading the league with 698 points. Hill paced the Falcons with 20.5 points per game, 87 assists, 35 steals, 162 free throws made 1,235 minutes.

He played his first two seasons at Southern Union (Ala.) Community College where he averaged 24.4 points in 42 games, while leading the Bison in scoring both years. As a sophomore in 2022-23, Hill scored 780 points in 30 games for an average of 26.0 per outing and increased his scoring to 27.3 in league play.

For his collegiate career, Hill has scored 2,081 points while connecting on 47.2% of his field goal attempts (795-1,685) in 107 games.
