Texas A&M Football’s White Named SEC Special Teams Player of the Week

News release from Texas A&M Athletics:

BIRMINGHAM – Texas A&M punter Tyler White has been tabbed the SEC Special Teams Player of the Week, the league announced Monday. It marks the first career weekly honor for the freshman.

White landed five punts inside the 10 and seven inside the 15, while he finished with a game-long 58 yard punt in the win over Arkansas. The Razorbacks’ average starting field position following his nine punts was their own 14-yard line.

The Southlake, Texas, native has averaged 46.1 yards per punt this season, including five boots of 50-plus yards and landing 11-of-16 inside the 20.

White is the first Aggie punter to earn the weekly accolade since Nik Constantinou on Sept. 19, 2022.

Texas A&M returns to action Saturday hosting No. 9 Missouri at Kyle Field. Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. on ABC.
