Texas A&M Football to Showcase “Aggies for a Cause” Initiative During Maroon & White Game

News release from Texas A&M Athletics:

Select members of the Texas A&M football program will take the field Saturday wearing specialty cleats as part of the “Aggies for a Cause” initiative during the annual Maroon & White Game at Kyle Field.

Kickoff is slated for 11 a.m.

The custom-designed cleats highlight causes and organizations that hold personal significance to the student-athletes. Among those participating is quarterback Marcel Reed, who will represent the Archer Foundation, and defensive end Marco Jones, who will highlight the Epilepsy Foundation. Safety Marcus Ratcliffe and wide receiver Isaiah Horton will also wear cleats supporting Walk Among Heroes and Jack and Jill of America, respectively.

Each design reflects the individual stories, passions and motivations of the players, connecting their on-field performance with meaningful off-field missions aimed at raising awareness and inspiring impact beyond the game.

The initiative provides Aggie student-athletes an opportunity to use their platform to shine a light on important causes, reinforcing Texas A&M’s commitment to service and leadership. Following the game, each student-athlete will be giving their cleats to their respective organizations.

Fans attending Saturday’s Maroon & White Game are encouraged to arrive early for a closer look at the custom cleats and to learn more about the organizations being represented.
