Texas A&M Football to put Practice on Hold Following Positive COVID-19 Tests

Texas A&M head football coach Jimbo Fisher says all in-person practice has been put on hold following a pair of positive COVID-19 tests within the Aggie program.

Fisher spoke via ZOOM Monday, and said that one player and one staff member had tested positive. He added that both individuals traveled to Saturday’s game at South Carolina, and that quarantines and contact tracing were being utilized to contain an outbreak.

Aggie safety Demani Richardson tested positive for the coronavirus last week but did not travel with the team to Columbia.

Fisher says the defensive back will most likely not be available for Texas A&M’s game this Saturday at Tennessee. However, the match-up with the Volunteers may be in jeopardy if more positive cases turn up within the program.
