Texas A&M Football Lands Two on Walter Camp Preseason All-American Team

News release from Texas A&M Athletics:

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Texas A&M’s Taurean York was named to the Walter Camp Preseason All-America First Team, while Ar’maj Reed-Adams was selected to the second team, the organization announced Tuesday.

York, entering his third year as team captain, ranked 12th in the SEC and led the team with 82 tackles, while also ranking second with 9.5 tackles for loss. The Temple, Texas, native, led the Aggies in tackles in seven games, including six SEC matchups. The junior has garnered a number of preseason accolades following an impressive sophomore season, including being named to the Lott Impact Trophy Preseason Watch List and Dave Campbell’s All-Texas First Team.

Reed-Adams started 12 games at right guard, helping pave the way for an Aggie rushing attack that ranked 26th in the nation and second in the SEC with 195.5 yards per game. As a junior he helped the offense total 450-plus yards in five games, including consecutive 300-plus yards rushing in consecutive games for the first time since 2012. Reed-Adams played every snap in the win at Florida and assisted in paving the way to a 99-yard scoring drive and 92-yard scoring drive, marking the first time since 2007 the Aggies recorded multiple 90-yard drives in a game. The DeSoto, Texas, native, was recently named to the Dave Campbell’s Preseason All-Texas First Team.
