Texas A&M faculty senate members learned at Monday’s meeting that $14 million dollars for merit pay raises that was set aside last fall have now been released by the state.

Faculty senate speaker John Stallone reminded members that the money was held in reserves until the state’s financial condition from the pandemic improved, “which they have”.

Dr. Stallone said the money “will now be distributed very soon.”
