News release from Texas A&M Athletics:
The No. 4 seed Texas A&M equestrian team begins competition at the SEC Championship Friday afternoon with a semifinal matchup against No. 1 seed Auburn at 3 p.m. at the Auburn University Equestrian Center.
Friday’s semifinal matchup will be streamed on SEC Network+ and fans can and follow along with live results by clicking here.
Friday’s contest marks the 42nd meeting all-time and third this season between the Aggies (5-5, 3-4) and Tigers (9-2, 4-2). Despite falling in the most recent meeting, the Maroon & White prevailed in a thriller earlier in the year that came down to a raw score tiebreak (10-10, 1452-1439.5). Texas A&M saw three of the four MOP performances behind Kate Egan (70) in Flat, Isabelle Gonzalez (70) in Reining and Alida Treuting (85) in Fences.
A win would send the Maroon & White to the SEC Championship final for the fifth straight season and set up a matchup with the winner between Georgia and South Carolina on Saturday at 11 a.m.
