Texas A&M Equestrian Set for Annual Maroon & White Scrimmage

News release from Texas A&M Athletics: 

The Texas A&M equestrian team is set to host its annual Maroon & White scrimmage Friday at 3 p.m. at the Hildebrand Equine Complex.

Horsemanship and Flat begin at 3 p.m., while Fences and Reining are scheduled for approximately 4:30 p.m. Admission to the scrimmage, as well as all home events, is free.

The Aggies are coming off a 9-6 season that was highlighted by the programs first SEC Championship title and a runner-up finish in the NCEA Championship Finals.

Texas A&M returns 32 riders from last season, including 11 starters from the NCEA Championship final run. Leading the way for the Aggies are NCEA All-Americans, Grace Shipman (Fences), Moriah McQueen (Reining) and Kate Egan (Flat). Ady Kallay returns for her sophomore campaign after earning SEC Freshman Rider of the Year honors for Horsemanship.

The Maroon & White scrimmage provides fans with their first look at the 2026-27 squad. The Aggies open the regular season with a double-header on Sept. 24, taking on Delaware State and Minnesota Crookston at the Dovington Training Center in Felton, Delaware.
