Texas A&M Divers Nab Points in 1m Dive at SEC Championships

News release from Texas A&M Athletics: 

The Texas A&M diving tandem of freshman Emilio Trevino and sophomore Jaxon Bowshire put the men’s team on the scoreboard in the 1-meter springboard dive in the lone event of the day at the 2026 SEC Swimming & Diving Championships on Monday at the University of Tennessee’s Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center.

Trevino placed 14th with a score of 310.65 in the consolation final, moving up a spot from his placing in the preliminary round. Bowshire chipped in seven points with an 18th place effort.

Swimming starts at the SEC Championships on Tuesday with the men’s and women’s 1,650-yard freestyle heats beginning at 10:30 a.m. The prelims of the women’s 1-meter springboard begins at 11 a.m. with the consolation final following immediately. Tuesday’s evening session starts with the finals of the men’s and women’s 200 medley relays at 4 p.m., followed by the finals of the 1m dive and the men’s and women’s 800 free relays.
