Texas A&M’s campus in Qatar will be finishing the semester with online classes.

An A&M spokeswoman in College Station tells WTAW News classes are scheduled through July 7.

Classes will resume after a shelter in place alert was lifted.

The alert followed Iran’s bombing of a U.S. military base in Qatar. That followed a U.S. military bombing in Iran.

According to A&M’s enrollment website, 263 students are taking classes at the Qatar campus.

The A&M Qatar webpost says “The US Embassy in Qatar has issued an alert recommending that Americans shelter in place. Please get to a safe place and await further instructions.”

Additionally, the post says “TAMUQ offices will be closed and classes will be postponed on Tuesday, 24 June 2025.”
