For freshman All-American Nico Partida, his Summer is just getting started.
Partida won one of 28 spots on USA Baseball’s Collegiate National Team roster and will wear the Stars and Stripes in the inaugural World Collegiate Baseball Championship, held July 10-15 at Taiwan’s Taichung City Intercontinental Baseball Stadium.
It’ll be the second time he’s represented his country after winning gold for the 2024 18U National Team.
The World Collegiate Baseball Championship format will feature five days of games, with three days of pool play followed by the semifinals and medal games. The U.S. will open its pool play slate on July 10 against Korea at 11:30 p.m., face Chinese Taipei on July 12 at 5:30 a.m., and then play Japan on July 12 at 11:30 p.m. The semifinals will be played July 13 and the finals, which will consist of gold- and bronze-medal games, will be held July 14.
