BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – The Texas A&M baseball team dropped the series finale to Missouri, 10-1, Sunday afternoon at Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park.
The Tigers (16-35, 3-24) plated a pair of runs in the opening frame and added another in the third to jump out to a 3-0 lead.
In the fourth, the Aggies (27-23, 10-17) broke through on the scoreboard with a solo home run off the bat of Caden Sorrell. The long ball marked 11th of the year for the sophomore and traveled 400 feet to Section 12 in right center.
Missouri responded with a run in the fifth, three in the sixth and three in the seventh to make the final 10-1.
Starter Myles Patton (3-4) suffered the loss after allowing four runs in 4 1/3 innings of work. Reliever Gavin Lyons shined in his SEC debut as the right-hander struck out three in three scoreless frames.
