News release from Texas A&M Athletics:

HUNTSVILLE, Texas – The Texas A&M baseball team concludes its four-game road trip with a midweek contest at Sam Houston Tuesday night at 6 p.m. at Don Sanders Stadium.

Tuesday’s contest will be streamed on ESPN+ and can be heard locally on Sports Radio 1150 AM/93.7 The Zone. Fans can also follow along with the game through live stats or on X, @AggieBaseball.

Tuesday’s midweek marks the 137th meeting all-time between the Aggies (16-15) and Bearkats (8-24). The Maroon & White lead the series 91-43-2 after claiming last year’s meeting at Blue Bell Park by a final of 9-8. After dropping its first two midweek contests this season, Texas A&M has won five straight.

For the second straight week, right-hander Gavin Lyons will take the mound for the Maroon & White. On the year, the freshman has not allowed a run in eight innings of work and owns a 2-0 record. Sam Houston will counter with right-hander Cam Diaz.

The Aggies are coming off a doubleheader sweep of No. 1 Tennessee, clinching their first road series win over a No. 1 team in program history. Texas A&M bashed 11 homers in the doubleheader, including a program record tying seven in the series finale. Bear Harrison (4-for-8) and Caden Sorrell (5-for-9) led the way for the Aggies as the duo combined for five homers and eight RBI on Saturday.

Over his last 12 games, Harrison has powered the Texas A&M offensive attack as the sophomore is batting .474 to go along with five doubles, seven homers, 14 runs scored and 18 RBI. The sophomore has also reached base safely in all 12 contests.

On the mound, the Maroon & White continue to rank inside the Top 10 nationally in strikeout-to-walk ratio (3.13), walks allowed per nine (2.86) and WHIP (1.25).
