BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – A trio of Texas A&M baseball student-athletes earned a spot on the 2025 American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings NCAA Division I Central All-Region Teams, as announced Tuesday morning.
Third baseman Wyatt Henseler was selected to the first team, while left-hander Justin Lamkin and outfielder Jace LaViolette were named to the second team. This marks the fourth straight season the Aggies have had multiple players earn ABCA/Rawlings Central All-Region honors. The teams are voted on by members of the American Baseball Coaches Association and the process is led by the ABCA NCAA Division I All-America & Coach of the Year Committee.
Henseler started all 56 games for the Maroon & White and recorded a .319/.423/.562 slash line in his lone season in Aggieland. The graduate student registered 12 homers, a team-high 15 doubles, 19 walks, 33 RBI and 48 runs scored. The Emmaus, Pennsylvania, native also logged 16 multi-hit games and seven multi-RBI performances.
Henseler’s first team selection marked his third straight after earning his prior two during his time at Penn. The graduate student is now eligible for All-America honors, which will be announced on Friday, June 14.
Lamkin compiled a 3.42 ERA in 15 starts during a strong junior campaign for the Aggies. The left-hander struck out 98 batters in 84 1/3 innings of work, both of which led the team. The Corpus Christi, Texas, native also held a 1.10 WHIP and limited opponents to a .235 batting average.
In his final start of the regular season, Lamkin punched out a career-high 15 batters in a complete game shutout on the road against No. 10 Georgia. The junior’s first career complete game shutout earned him SEC Pitcher of the Week honors along with National Pitcher of the Week honors from the College Baseball Foundation, the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association and Perfect Game. In the outing, the left-hander did not allow a walk or a three-ball count.
LaViolette, who earned All-Central Region honors for the third straight season, started all 56 games for the Maroon & White and slashed .258/.427/.576 to go along with nine doubles, 18 homers and 61 RBI. The junior totaled a team-best 19 multi-RBI contests, 15 multi-hit games and four multi-homer performances on the year. LaViolette also logged a team-high 57 walks and a 1.003 OPS.
The Katy, Texas, native made his mark in the Texas A&M record book as his 68 career home runs and 169 walks rank first in program history. In addition, the junior finished the 2025 campaign ranked third in RBI with 202, fourth in total bases with 443 and fifth in runs with 193.
