Men’s Tennis
Hady Habib was bested by Carlos Alcaraz of Spain, the world’s No. 3 ranked player on Saturday in the first round of the men’s singles bracket (3-6, 1-6). Habib was subbed into the singles draw for Lebanon on short notice after an injury to a fellow teammate on Wednesday, July 24.
Habib and partner Benjamin Hassan fell to the Australian duo of Matthew Ebden and John Peers in the first round of men’s doubles on Sunday (6-7 [5-7], 2-6). The loss ended Habib’s first Olympic Games after representing Lebanon in singles and doubles.

Swimming
Beryl Gastadello helped France’s 4x100m free relay advance to the final after posting a top-five time in the morning session. Gastaldello went 53.83 as the leadoff swimmer to help France clock in at 3:34.99 and finish sixth.
