JOINT BASE ELMENDORF-RICHARDSON, Alaska (AP) _ A spokesman for Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Alaska says a 23-year-old airman has died of injuries suffered when he was pinned between two vehicles at his residence.
Spokesman Bob Hall said Tuesday that Senior Airman Russell Lytle died Monday night of injuries suffered Saturday. The Arlington, Texas, native was found unconscious by his wife. Hall says medics took the man to Alaska Native Medical Center in critical condition.
Lytle was assigned to the 3rd Wing’s 3rd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron. He joined the Air Force in 2007 and was a crew chief on F-22 Raptors.
Lytle came to the base near Anchorage in January. The death is under investigation.
