Suspected Meth Materials in Bryan Apartment

Three arrests were made following the discovery of materials to make methamphetamine inside a Bryan apartment.

Precinct 2 Constable Donald Lampo and a deputy were after a man accused of failing to pay child support and parole violations.

33 year old Jose Mireles of Bryan was found at the Villa West Apartments in the 3500 block of Finfeather. He was among four occupants in a unit that an assistant manager said was supposed to be in the process of moving out but instead more were moving in.

After Mireles was arrested authorities found a coffee grinder containing trace amounts of the drug Ephedrine and a styrofoam cooler with kitchen utensils, Coleman fuel, crystal drain opener, and a black bag.

One of the other occupants said inside the bag could have been anhydrous ammonia. That resulted in bringing in members of the DPS narcotics division from Bryan and Brenham.

Dressed in hazardous materials gear, those officers removed two-thirds of a gallon of muriatic acid and liquid drain opener.

Arrested and jailed for possessing chemicals with the intent to make methamphetamine were Mireles, 30 year old Amanda Pedone of College Station, and 34 year old Christi Ciarelli of Bryan.
