Bryan ISD superintendent Tommy Wallis and the district’s school board are considering what is being described as a “voluntary separation agreement”.
The board considers taking action Monday night at 7. If approved, the board will consider appointing an interim superintendent.
No details of the proposed agreement have been released.
This follows the board meeting behind closed doors for 4.5 hours Wednesday night on Wallis’s contract.
There’s been no comment from Dr. Wallis, who was hired in April 2011 and six months ago received a contract extension through 2019.
After Wallis missing a board meeting September 19th, he began a personal leave of absence.
Since then, deputy superintendent Tim Rocka has been in charge of Bryan ISD’s more than 16,000 students and 2,400 employees.
