Suddenlink Upgrade Update

Preparations continue for Bryan/College Station to be the first Suddenlink market to receive gigabit Internet service.

Suddenlink spokesman Gene Ragan says their “Operation GigaSpeed” is part of this year’s plans to spend $170 million dollars throughout Texas, where they have more than 500,000 residential and nearly 37,000 business customers.

Ragan says the gigabit service remains in development with a lot of behind the scenes work taking place.

Last August, Suddenlink announced the twin cities would be the first in their southwest region to receive the Gigabit service.
