Student buying NU tickets at record pace

That 12th Man Day promotion seems to be working. At the close of business Wednesday, the Texas A&M student body had pulled a record 25,734 tickets for the Nebraska game. The old A&M record for three days was 23,205 for the 2007 Texas game.

Freshmen will begin pull at 7 a.m. this morning. If any tickets remain after the freshmen finish pull at 5 o’clock, those tickets will go on sale to any Texas A&M student, with or without a sports card, beginning at 8 a.m. on Friday at the ticket windows located at the north end of Kyle Field. Non-sports-pass holding students get tickets for $20 each

The Aggies are trying to establish a new collegiate record for students actually attending a football game. The Texas A&M record of 28,100 was set for the Oklahoma game in 2002. So will it be a record crowd Saturday night? The current record is 88,253 vs. Texas in 2007.
