Two days after the state legislature finishes its 89th session, one of Brazos County’s freshman House members announces he will seek re-election next year.

Paul Dyson of Bryan, a local attorney and businessman in the energy industry, touted his contributions during what he described as being part of “the most conservative legislative session in Texas history”.

Dyson’s announcement also includes the Texas A&M system is a “strong contender” for what he says is hosting a national nuclear proving ground in the Bryan/College Station area. That was part of legislation Dyson says was passed that allows the system to expand and modernize utility infrastructure on university owned land.
