If you are a College Station resident, you might have received a new recycling container Tuesday.
Recycling and Environmental Compliance Manager Heather Woolwine said single stream recycling is now in College Station.
“Every single-family home will be issued a bin and collections will start January 18th, and then every other week for collections,” said Woolwine.
The new bin is bigger than your trashcan and blue.
“The really neat thing is on top of the bin, printed in the plastic, is going to be all the directions you need. So if you ever forget, literally look on top of the bin, it is going to tell you what we recycle and how,” said Woolwine.
Woolwine said they checked out several vendors, and were able to find one affordable enough to prevent them from raising prices for residents at this time.
