Seven people injured and five cars involved in a chain reaction accident meant major traffic problems in Bryan Sunday night.
It happened just before 8 p.m. on north Harvey Mitchell Parkway at Pinewood just south of Villa Maria.
Police say a pickup was rear-ended by the driver of a SUV. The SUV driver was getting out when their vehicle was hit by a third driver, who then hit the SUV driver.
A fourth vehicle was stopped for the accident, but was then hit by a fifth vehicle, which then hit the first one involved.
None of those injured was seriously hurt.
Police shut down both directions of Harvey Mitchell Parkway for two hours while the accident was investigated and cleaned up.
Three of the drivers were cited for failing to control speed.
