SEC Reveals Texas A&M Men’s Basketball Conference Slate

BIRMINGHAM – More than half of the SEC opponents coming to Reed Arena in 2025 earned spots in the 2024 postseason as the SEC released each league member’s home and away opponents for the upcoming men’s basketball season on Monday.

2024 NCAA Tournament teams coming to Aggieland next spring are Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee and Texas, while NIT participants Georgia and LSU will also play at the Home of the 12th Man. Rounding out the Aggies’ 2025 SEC home slate are Arkansas, Oklahoma and Vanderbilt.

Texas A&M’s 18-game SEC schedule features nine home games and nine road games, with the Aggies facing 12 schools once and three schools twice. The road schedule, which features five 2024 NCAA Tournament teams, includes trips to Florida, Kentucky, LSU, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Missouri, Oklahoma, South Carolina and Texas. Texas A&M’s “mirror opponents” are LSU, Oklahoma and Texas.

The Aggies’ 2025 SEC schedule features the return of two familiar faces with the addition of Texas and Oklahoma to the league. The Longhorns are the Aggies’ most-played rival with 225 previous meetings as former members of the Southwest and Big 12 Conferences, while the Maroon & White has faced the Sooners 42 times with the majority coming as Big 12 foes from 1997-2012.

Dates, times and television information for the 2025 SEC schedule will be released at a later date. The Maroon & White’s complete 2024-25 non-conference schedule will be released once it is finalized.
