Scotty’s House Hosting Workshop for Faith Leaders

Scotty’s House Brazos Valley Child Advocacy Center is hosting a 2-hour workshop for faith community leaders wishing to learn more about child abuse and how to best deal with it in their congregation.

The workshop will include a viewing of “Hear Their Cries… A Religious Response to Child Abuse & Neglect”. The video, produced by the Faith Trust Institute, shows the role of the clergy and lay leaders in ending child abuse.

After the video, there will be an open discussion among the faith leaders who attend along with law enforcement, CPS, and Scotty’s House members.

The workshop is Thursday, May 31st from 4:30 – 7 p.m. at Scotty’s House Brazos Valley Child Advocacy Center located at 2424 Kent Street in Bryan.
