San Antonio Road Rage

SAN ANTONIO (AP) _ San Antonio police say a man has been charged with murder over the beating death of a passenger in another vehicle in an alleged road rage attack.

Bond was $150,000 for 44-year-old Stephen Richardson, who remained in custody Wednesday. Bexar (bayr) County Detention Center Records did not list an attorney for Richardson.

Police say 30-year-old Juan Duran died early Tuesday at a San Antonio hospital, hours after being attacked when Richardson allegedly flashed gang signals and claimed to have been cut off.

Police spokeswoman Sandy Gutierrez says road rage is believed to have started the events that led to the killing.

A woman who was driving the SUV carrying Duran called 911 and described Richardson’s vehicle.
