San Antonio Police Investigate Murder-Suicide

SAN ANTONIO (AP) _ Police are trying to determine why a man allegedly killed his father and son before taking his own life.

Neighbors heard gunshots around 6 p.m. Monday and a neighbor called the man’s brother, who lives down the street.

The man discovered his brother dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head and police found their father and another relative dead in a home.

Police spokesman Sgt. Gabe Trevino told the San Antonio Express-News police didn’t find drugs in the home, and didn’t immediately have a motive for the killings.

Property records show the home is registered to 91-year-old Jack Younger, who neighbors said was a retired mechanic.

Neighbors say Darryl Younger, 49, moved into his father’s home several years ago after his mother died. His 24-year-old son, Nick, also lived there.
