The week after Bryan police arrest a Bryan High student who had a gun in his backpack, a Rudder High student is arrested for making a false report involving a gun. A BPD spokesman tells WTAW News that the student who was taken to juvenile detention knowingly lied at the time when they made the accusation. Bryan ISD has not released a statement about Monday’s (September 23rd) incident as of September 24th.

A Navasota High School student is arrested for making a threat on social media. A letter from Navasota ISD’s superintendent on the district’s Facebook page says the student threatened another student outside of school and did not involve or mention the school. The city of Navasota announced the arrest on a charge of making a terroristic threat. A city spokeswoman tells WTAW News that the student was released to their parents and the juvenile probation office was contacted.
