The Robertson County sheriff reports on two major operations this week that also involved state and federal agencies.

Bill Ruland posted on his Facebook page that on Wednesday (February 25), deputies were in Calvert as part of an investigation where a home was identified as being “a major hub for narcotics distribution throughout the region.” The sheriff did not say if anything was seized or if any arrests were made. This operation also involved DPS and three federal agencies, the bureau of alcohol, tobacco, firearms, and explosives, the drug enforcement administration, and the federal bureau of investigation.

On Tuesday (February 24), Ruland posted on his Facebook page that ICE was not involved in a joint operation in Hearne. The sheriff said that his deputies joined DPS and the U.S. Marshal’s office in apprehending an illegal immigrant on a murder charge from Memphis. Robertson County jail records also show 26 year old Felipe Vega from Memphis is also being held for ICE.
