Multiple agencies were involved in an overnight search for suspects who led Robertson County law enforcement on a chase that ended in a crash in the Wheelock community east of Hearne.
On Wednesday morning (October 23), a statement from the Robertson County sheriff’s office says one suspect is in custody. Charges against that person have not been disclosed.
An earlier statement says the undisclosed number of other suspects were picked up and were no longer in the area.
Wheelock area residents were asked to report any suspicious activity.
The reason for the chase has not been disclosed, and the specific agency that was involved in the pursuit was not identified.
The sheriff’s office says the search for the suspects, of which at least one may have had a gun, included tracking dogs from the state prison system, helicopters, and drones.
