The Bryan-College Station Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting today for the new Brazos County Medical Examiner’s Office.
It was standing room only inside the facility as attendees heard presentations from many, including County Judge Duane Peters and Dr. Jennifer Dierkson, who will be named the county’s first medical examiner after the facility opens.
Construction on the 21,000-square-foot facility at 3037 East 29th Street in Bryan began in December 2024 and will officially be open and ready to start receiving cases on September 1, 2026.
Public tours are available on two dates:
- Wednesday, August 19, 2026 from 10:00am until 3:00pm
- Saturday, August 29, 2026 from 10:00am until 2:00pm
