News release from Christ Church College Station:
This past weekend, Christ Church proudly hosted TMOM – Texas Mission of Mercy, a life-changing event that provided free dental care to individuals from across the region. Over the course of Friday and Saturday, the church campus transformed into a fully operational dental clinic, offering essential treatments to those in need.
With 40 dental chairs set up in the Hall typically used for contemporary worship services, an astounding 705 patients received care throughout the event. A total of 5,260 treatments were performed, equating to $723,159 worth of free dental work—a truly remarkable achievement.
The event’s success was made possible by the dedication of 1,200 volunteers and the expertise of 40 dentists, all of whom selflessly gave their time and skills to serve the community.
“This weekend was absolutely incredible,” said Jerry House, Lead Pastor. “The impact made on these individuals’ lives is immeasurable, and we are so grateful for everyone who contributed to making this event happen. From the volunteers to the dentists to the generous supporters—thank you for helping us bring hope and healing to so many.”
Texas Mission of Mercy continues to make a profound difference across the state, providing critical dental care to underserved populations. Christ Church is honored to have been part of this effort and looks forward to future opportunities to serve the community.
