A resolution asking Congress to include the project in the next federal surface transportation authorization bill was unanimously approved by the Bryan council on April 14th. And the College Station council will consider similar action at its April 23rd meeting.

The resolution mentions I-14 and the I-214 loop around Bryan and College Station.

Nicknamed the “forts to ports” corridor, I-14 and eight loops and spurs will connect a dozen military facilities from multiple locations in west and south Texas and the Georgia coast.

The resolution says the 1,300 mile project also reflects the need to meet 21st century transportation and economic challenges.
