Report: Boyle focus of A&M Search

As Mark Turgeon was introduced yesterday in College Park as Maryland’s new basketball coach, no new names hit the rumor mill as a candidate for the job at A&M. But the Houston Chronicle’s Jerome Solomon writes that Bill Byrne’s focus could be now on Colorado’s Tad Boyle above other rumored candidates like Wichita State’s Gregg Marshall or Nebraska’s Doc Sadler. With Marquette’s Buzz Williams seemingly out of the picture because of his salary and buyout cost, that would not be a problem in getting Boyle, who reportedly makes just $750,000 at Colorado. And with Colorado now essentially no longer a Big 12 basketball school, going after Boyle would not be raiding the closet of a conference-mate.
