Registration Begins for 85th B/CS Christmas Parade

Organizers of the 85th Bryan/College Station Christmas Parade announced Wednesday registrations are being accepted and revealed this year’s theme.

Parade Chairwoman Penny Zent says this year’s theme is “Inside Santa’s Workshop.”  Zent is excited about the possibilities, noting “We don’t want to limit anyone’s creativity when they’re designing their floats.   We believe this theme makes people think of a behind-the-scenes look at Santa’s North Pole workshop, but we expect to be surprised.”

Click HERE to get to the parade website, where you can register and pay entry fees online.  Zent also says the website has pictures of prior entries and where you can find building supplies for parade floats.

The parade is Sunday, December 4th, at 2 p.m.  The parade route is the same as in past years; beginning at Polo Road on the A&M campus, proceeding east on University before turning north on Texas Avenue. Winning entries can win prizes up to $500.

Penny Zent visits with WTAW’s Bill Oliver about the 85th B/CS Christmas Parade.
