Recent Arrests Involving A Robbery, Illegal Weapons, And Assaulting Three Women

(UPDATED 6/10/25) Bryan police arrest three men on charges of beating a man and taking his car Sunday night (June 1) near 28th and Sims on the west side of the downtown area. The men in jail are 29 year old Anthony Tijerina and 28 year old Benjamin Lopez. BPD posted on social media last Wednesday (June 4) they were looking for a third suspect. A BPD spokesman said on Tuesday (June 10), 24 year old Jose Mercado of Pasadena was apprehended in Bryan. Jail records also show Tijerina is charged with engaging in organized criminal activity and evading arrest with a prior conviction. Tijerina is jailed as of June 4 in lieu of bonds totaling $190,000 dollars on those charges a hold for a parole violation. Lopez remains held as of June 4 in lieu of a $100,000 dollar bond. Mercado’s jail booking information was not available at the time of this update.

A College Station police officer conducting a traffic stop for a broken taillight on Tuesday (June 3) during the midnight hour leads to the arrest of three men who are members of a gang based in Brenham. That’s according to the CSPD arrest report where 18 year old Elijah Green of Washington, 19 year old Edwin Moore of Somerville, and 19 year old Jacoby Cole of Brenham with underage possession of a gun. Green was also charged for possessing a fully automatic handgun. All three are out of jail after posting bonds.

A Grimes County man is in the Brazos County jail on charges of family violence assault of three people causing bodily injury. The arrest report from Bryan police does not indicate medical treatment was given to any of the victims from the assaults that took place Monday night (June 2). One woman was body slammed into the wall and knocked to the ground. A second woman was taken to the ground and struck in the chest. The third woman was pushed into a wall. 26 year old Christopher Michael Reyes of Iola denied assaulting anybody and said he was jumped. As of June 4th, Reyes remained jailed in lieu of bonds totaling $15,000 dollars.
