A three month old was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries as the result of his parents arguing in a local grocery store. College Station police arrested the father, 38 year old Derrick Leshawn Robinson, for injury to a child, family violence assault, and failure to appear on a drunk driving charge in Waller County. Officers were sent Sunday night to the H-E-B at Texas and Holleman on the report of a disturbance. Investigators determined Robinson pushed the mother of his children into store shelving, and the baby’s head struck the shelf.

Weekend drunk driving arrests included a Bryan man telling a Brazos County sheriff’s deputy he had 13 beers before he was stopped and three more while he was on the scene before officers arrived. This was Saturday night as volunteers were directing traffic out of the Kurten community fireworks show. An officer with the Texas A&M Forest Service was among the witnesses reporting the vehicle going west in the eastbound lanes of Highway 21 and almost hitting volunteers wearing reflective vests. After getting the vehicle stopped and directed to the correct lanes the driver almost hit another volunteer because he was disregarding directions. 59 year old Glen Mitchell of Bryan was released from jail after posting bond four hours after being booked for DWI.

A man found unconscious on the grounds of a College Station apartment complex Saturday morning was arrested for vehicle burglaries. College Station police officers looking for the man at the Briarwood Apartments on Harvey Road were approached by a woman who said someone had stolen money and electronics from her vehicle. The man was found in the yard and was being checked out by firefighter EMT’s when he gave permission to be searched. Police found the woman’s property as well as a cell phone from a second vehicle. 25 year old Levi Carr of College Station was arrested for those burglaries along with three traffic warrants and a prior charge of marijuana possession.

A Bryan policeman got his shoulder literally out of joint over the holiday weekend. Just after 4:30 in the morning on the 4th, a SUV was pulled over on Wellborn Road in front of the Saddlewood Club apartments for a brake light that wasn’t working. According to the arrest report, the driver tried to run away then got into a struggle with three officers. One who had his shoulder dislocated was treated in the emergency room. The driver, 34 year old Johnny Frank Jackson Jr. of Bryan, was arrested for evading and resisting arrest, giving a false identification, and driving with an invalid license with prior convictions.

A Bryan man who has 18 suspensions on his drivers license and four convictions for driving with an invalid license is accused of leaving the scene after hitting two parked cars. 27 year old Frederick Boulden of Bryan was arrested Thursday night and spent two and a half hours in jail before he was released on bond. According to the arrest report from Bryan police, the cars were hit by Boulden’s SUV six weeks ago on Lake Street, north of Villa Maria and between Texas and South College. Officers found at the scene a license plate which fell off the SUV; and with witness reports tracked down Boulden.

A Conroe man who was fired from a manager’s position at a business in College Station in January was arrested Thursday on a charge of felony theft. According to the arrest report from College Station police, 39 year old Christopher Bryant used company money to pay for almost two thousand dollars of coolers last October.

A Bryan man working on a construction crew on the Texas A&M campus is accused of a vehicle burglary three weeks ago where the victim was struck as the suspect drove away. University police report 29 year old Miguel Martinez-Nunez was not charged with aggravated assault with a motor vehicle after investigators decided there was no intent to injure the victim…who was struck in the leg but said he was not hurt. The incident took place in a parking lot near the Kleberg Building. The victim said he confronted Martinez after seeing him trying to take a battery out of his vehicle. The victim was struck as he was taking a picture of the license tag on Martinez’s Cadillac.

After College Station police caught a runway, she said she was kidnapped. Saturday morning, officers went to a home behind Lions Park to pick up a girl who was reported missing June 26th. At the juvenile detention center, the girl said she was abducted at her home by someone she knew. According to a news release from the police department, she made contact with a parent to pick her up. The case has been given to detectives.
