Real Estate Agent Escapes Robbery

SAN ANTONIO, Texas (AP) _ The Bexar County Sheriff’s Department says a real estate agent showing a luxury home pulled off a bold escape after her potential buyer turned into a robbery suspect.

Sgt. Charles Campbell says the agent was showing a man property in a gated community that features multimillion-dollar custom homes when the man beat her with a stick and demanded $4,000.

Campbell told the San Antonio-Express News that the man was driving the agent to a bank to withdraw the money when she escaped from the vehicle at a stoplight and got into another car.

Campbell says the suspect was apprehended by police called to the scene. The woman was treated for her injuries and is expected to recover, he said.
